The bill read is free. Always.
Suppliers pay us a commission on the load we broker, the same way they pay every other broker. The difference is that we show you the number. Subscriptions buy you the portfolio tooling on top, and you can run for years without one.

A small business on a single meter runs on Snap indefinitely and pays us nothing directly. Subscription pricing is for the tooling around a portfolio, and you can cancel it without losing your supply contract.
Six revenue lines, published.
Brokers usually hide the commission inside your rate. We would rather show you the whole model, because a customer who understands how we get paid can check our work.
| Line | How Lity earns | Rough basis |
|---|---|---|
| Energy procurement | Commission from the supplier on brokered load | ~$3.50 per MWh |
| Distributed energy | Origination margin on solar, storage, EV, and geothermal projects | ~10% of project value |
| Bill auditing | Share of overcharges we recover for you | ~35% of recovery |
| Demand response | Share of the grid program payments you earn | ~25% of DR revenue |
| Equipment marketplace | Take rate on hardware bought through the platform | ~8% of order value |
| Subscriptions | Monthly platform fee by portfolio size | $0 / $99 / $499 |
Fair asks.
Does my power ever go out during a switch?
No. Your utility still owns the wires, the meter, and the repair crew. Only the supply portion of the bill changes, and it changes on your next scheduled meter read.
What if you cannot beat my rate?
We tell you, and we log your contract end date so we can try again when the market moves. Plenty of customers get a first read that says stay put.
Are you steering me to whoever pays you most?
Commission is roughly flat across suppliers, and we show you every quote we received, including the ones we did not recommend. Ask the agent for the full list any time.
What happens to my bill data?
It stays yours. We use it to quote and to audit. We do not sell it, and you can export or delete the whole account from the dashboard.
Do I have to switch to use the audit?
No. The audit runs on the invoices you already paid, and works whether or not you ever change suppliers.
My state is regulated. Now what?
Then there is no supplier to shop, and the savings come from the tariff, the demand charge, and the audit instead. The agent will say so on the first read.
